Hello!!

I am oh so tired..

Yesterday night has got to be one of the most enriching night I've experienced with Auni..
Why??

She refused to sleep on her own
She insisted on being carried/rocked to sleep
Even after countless feedings, she insisted on 'mengempeng'
I just wanna bite herrrr!! Grrrrrrr!!

I heard her whining..I prep myself..Carried her..

Auni?
Zzzzz..

Me?

I was soooo tired..I lowered myself, with Auni in my arms..There and then, I fell asleep with my daughter in my arms..Heh..Soon after, she was getting too heavy..So I placed her on my right arm and hugged her to sleep..Like a pillow..Heh..

Soon after, that right arm has no blood going through it so I had to place Auni back on the bed..

Auni?
She whined almost immediately..

Me?
*faints*

DH?
Amazingly, he stirred up from his sleep..Mumbled to me that he dreamt he had 3 dates with me(watched too much of Hitch) and he carried Auni and placed her on his chest and both drifted into deep slumber..

Me?

I solely blame my sisters for spoiling Auni..Now whenever she wanna sleep, she insists on being carried..Waahh..Who is left with her in the day? Me!! Thank goodness I am flexible and able to carry her with either arms..Can you imagine if I am only comfortable carrying her with only 1 arm? Confirm that arm will be muscular than the other!! Hahaha!!

Last Friday, Auni went to the polyclinic (again!!) for her jaundice follow-up..Her last reading on Monday was 193..Guess what was her reading on that Friday..

Wah liau..

When my Mummy smsed me, I felt so shitty that I kept questioning myself..

'What have I done wrong?'
'What is it that isn't enough?'

I just cried..

My Mummy came home and saw that I was depressed..She told me of another baby that she met at the polyclinic that has jaundice too..Apparently, the mummy of that baby refrained from eating ginger(so do I!), bathed her son in the special herbs(so do I!) and she fed her son with breastmilk and formula..

So I asked my Mummy..

'Are you telling me that I need to feed Auni with formula milk?'

My Mummy looked at me and said that the doctor said that the reason Auni's jaundice is taking a long time to reach below the 100 mark is because I am giving her total breastmilk..

I was distraught..

I absolutely refused to feed my daughter with formula milk is because I know that breastmilk is the best milk for my baby and since I am blessed with a rather good supply of breastmilk, I do not wish to feed her with formula milk..

:(

My Mummy told me that the doctor encouraged me to carry on giving Auni total breastmilk..

*sigh*

I was contemplating..

Should I stop giving Auni total breastmilk, just so that her jaundice will quickly reach below the 100 mark? :(

Then, I received a call from my MIL..

She accompanied Auni and my Mummy for the polyclinic trip..Apparently, she talked to one of her contacts who has a staff nurse for a friend..She told me that that person asked me to feed Auni with breastmilk and formula milk..

She told me lots of things too but I was too distraught when I heard about me having to feed her with formula milk..

*sigh*

When DH got back from work, we discussed..We reached a conclusion that I carry on breastfeeding Auni and not use formula milk..I am extremely lucky to have an understanding hubby..*muacks*

So today, Auni went to the polyclinic..

Her last reading was 194..

Guess what is her reading today?!

169..

Alhamdulillah!!

What a drastic change!!

I am oh so happy!!

I am thankful that I followed my instincts not to give in to feeding Auni with formula milk..Do not EVER underestimate a mother's instinct!! :D

The doctor is very pleased and said that soon Auni will be discharged from going for her jaundice followup!! :D

Oh, I asked Mummy to have Auni weighed cos I feel she is getting heavier..

She weighed 3.11kg when she was born..Soon after birth, it dropped to 2.9kg..

Now, at 25 days old, Auni weighs 3.4kg!!

No wonder my arms are getting more muscular!! Auni can't beat the adorable Aaliya tho!! :)

Hmmm..Suddenly I am thinking about DH's dream of us having 3 dates..That is possible..

Tomorrow we have a date at the mosque for Auni's tahnik and cukur rambut..Ok, the next person who teases me with 'I cannot imagine Auni bald' will get a thrashing!! :S

I want to go out with my husband and daughter on this Friday as Auni turns a month old then!!! Confinement is overrrrr!! Darn it!! I still got to finish up all those bottles of ikan haruan..*BLUEKS!!*

This Sunday, I will want to have another date with the two loves of my life cos its DH and my 11th year anniversary!!!!

So I will have 3 dates with DH and DA (Darling Auni :P) this week!!

DH, your dream will come true!! InsyaAllah..
