Darling Hubby booked out last night cos he cannot wait to see the latest scan pictures of his Princess.. :D

He guffawed, laughed and snorted when I told him what my gynae said about his precious Princess.. :P

Let me describe my checkup in greater detail.. :)

I was @ ADC for a growth scan, waited so long for my turn..The woman(she was so not helpful and made my Mummy cross..) who scanned me, kept mute all the way..My Mummy prompted her with questions like, 'what is that?', 'Is that the arm?' 'Can you tell the gender?'..

That woman only answered when she felt like to and she did say that baby's legs are crossed (again!!!) and based on several more views, its a girl..

I asked about baby's weight..I was told baby has reached 2 kg..My mouth gapped..

During the last scan 2 weeks ago, my baby was just 1kg..Now 2 kg?!!

So we left the ADC, showed my Daddy his granddaughter's scan pic..To that, my Daddy replied, 'Tak de color nyer picture ke?!'

Hahahaaaa!!

We proceeded to see my gynae with the report..Being kpo, I tried to understand whatever's on the report but failed miserable..I did see that baby's growth was above the 50% percentile in one of the charts..

I met my gynae, handed over the report..Gynae took a look at the report..Gynae looked at me, smiling..

Gynae: You are having a chubby baby!! (she said it while laughing!)
Me: *speechless with mouth wide open*
Gynae: A very verrry chubby baby!! (laughing harder after seeing my stunned reaction)
My Mummy: How can you tell?
Gynae: I look at the chart. Baby's head circumference, bone mass all normal..Her abdomen..Above 50%!!

All of us laughed!!

I was scanned again and I heard my gynae asking my parents if anyone in the family has diabetes..Apparently if there is, that may be the reason why I am having a chubby baby! But, noone in my family has diabetes..Looks like I am eating too well..Hahaha!!!

So I was scanned and my Mummy was there..

'Look at that chubby arm!!'

'Oh, Baby's putting her fist on her forehead'

'Baby's covering her face'

'Chubby baby!!'

All these were said by my gynae who goodnaturedly demonstrated how my baby was putting her fist on her forehead..Hahaha!!

So there you have it..

I have a chubby baby..

A chubby baby girl..

As long as she is healthy, I do not mind how heavy (gulp!) she is..

I smsed other family members, close friends and finally revealed Peanut's gender.. :)

I smsed DH and told him whatever happened during the checkup,esp about baby's weight..

His reply?

Short and sweet..

'Oh my God! A**** Junior!'

*faints*

I had a lovely surprise later that evening when DH told me he is booking out..I know he wants to see his Princess!! :D

So back at home, there was no running away from him..DH caught me and grabbed my tummy and talked to his Princess..

He insisted to see the pics and guffawed while rubbing my tummy..

He laughed even harder when I told him gynae's comments again..

Such an excited Abah, he is..

The whole night yesterday, he held onto me and talked and talked to his Princess, teasing me along the way..His cheeky Princess obviously loved the attention and kicked furiously when she heard her Abah's voice and felt his touch.. :)

Wait, we cannot call her Peanut anymore!!

Why?

Based on this,

Our baby should weigh 1.3 kg..But our baby now weighs 2 kg!!!

So let's call her Princess Pumpkin now..Heheheeeeeee!!

I am so gonna romos her cheeks, arms, thighs..I am sure others will as well.. ;)

Heheheeeee!! DH saw the first pic of her chubby arm and exclaimed, 'Michelllliiiiinnnnnnn!!'

PS: DH, I still think PP(Princess Pumpkin) will have your sepet eyes..We obviously know where she gets her chubbiness from! Hahahaaaaa!!
