Welcome to the club and I will definitely pass you some baby dust if I get to see you today.. ;)

Speaking of baby dust, I think I passed some onto my aunt and now she is pregnant..Hahaha!! She's having her 3rd now and Baby No 3 is due end of this year.. :)

So if you want to get pregnant, just stand near me and maybe who knows! Your wishes might come true! :D

Peanuuuuuttttt..

Happy 5 months, Darling!!!

I was rather confused initially when I was reading my pregnancy guide book and read that they categorized Peanut under 5 months, tho Peanut is really just 19 weeks old..

Hmmmm..

5 times 4 = 20..

I thought Peanut would be 5 months old when Peanut reaches 20 weeks..They categorized 5 months as 18-22 weeks.. :)

So there!

5 months!!!!!

I nearly fainted!!!

The time I was pregnant is more that the time left for me to deliver!!!

*panic attacks*

Sooooo..

What have I done to prepare my home for Peanut's arrival?

Nothing..

Hahaha!!!!

Wait a min..

We did buy a chest of drawers from Ikea for Peanut..And the box and its contents are still in my living room, waiting for my lazy DH to bring into Peanut's room and assemble.. :P

DH and I have been talking on how to bond with Peanut even before Peanut is born..We decided that we would have daily conversations with Peanut and that I would read Peanut stories..

When I am at work, storytelling is second nature and I am happy that Peanut would hear me read whenever my kiddies ask me to..

So yesterday, I finally dug out my thick storybook from the storeroom and started to read to Peanut..

To my amusement, I read in a different accent!!!

Hahaha!!!

The same accent I had to use when I am at work!!!

Hahaha!!!

I was laughing myself silly whilst reading to Peanut..

Poor Peanut..

Peanut must be thinking that Mummy is rather weird, laughing when reading..

Hahaha!!!

I am sure if DH was beside me yesterday as I was reading to Peanut, he would stare and shake his head..Hahaha!! He does get a little annoyed when I switch accents while talking to him..I just love to tease him..Hahaha!!

Goodness..Silly things that I discover about myself..I better train myself not to use my work accent while reading to or conversing with Peanut..Who knows, suddenly Peanut converses with a British accent..I would be the one to blamed!!! But then, both Peanut and I can tease DH endlessly with that accent..Hehehe!!!

Ever since DH has been home, I've been sticking to him like glue which explains my disappearance from the blogging world..DH gotten ill this week and I happily played the role of Florence Nightingale, nursing him back to health..

Now he's back to his usual healthy self, minus some moments when he would have diarrhea..Heh..Him having diarrhea is good in a way as my toilet will be very clean cos he knows I can't stand the smell and whenever he does his business, he will have to clean the whole toilet..So my toilet is very, very clean at the moment..Hehehe!! :)

Goodness..I have been very domestic this week..Washing clothes promptly..Ironing clothes promptly..For the first time ever, I only use one of my 2 laundry bags!! Usually both would be full to the brim when I am too busy to do washing and ironing..Hahaha!!

The layout of furniture in my house, esp in my living room, has been changed to accommodate future armies of guests when Peanut is born and also so that Peanut and Mummy can chill at the living room that is oh so spacious now..We both can roll and lie about for endless hours.. :)

Peanut, I really can't wait for this Wednesday when we get to meet again..This time, Abah will join us!! For the first time ever!! Not just Abah..Tok, Nenek and even Aunty Dila took leave just to come to see you..Do entertain them with your kicks and rolls and sucking of thumb..And the best part would be you revealing yourself to them..Hehehe!!

Oh yes, Peanut's gender is still a heavily guarded secret.. ;)

Peanut..Peanut..4 months plus till I will have you physically in my arms..I do wonder whom you will take after..

Will you have my button mushroom nose?

Will you have Abah's sexy lips?

Will you have curly wurly hair like Mummy's or straight hair like Abah's?

Will you have long ladylike fingers like Abah? *jealous of DH*

Will you have small ears like Mummy?

Whose eyes will you follow? Mummy's round ones or Abah's seeming like sepet yet dreamy eyes..

One thing for certain..

Most definitely, you will have well defined eyebrows..Looking at myself and DH, the thickness of Peanut's eyebrows will reveal whose eyebrows Peanut has as both of us have well defined eyebrows..Only DH's is thicker..Hehehe!!

Most importantly is that you, Peanut, is healthy..

That's all matters..

Tho Mummy (and her kpo sisters) can't wait to see your eyebrows..Heh!

Peeeaannuuttt!!

Mummy has been busy, writing a list of things you will need..You already have some sponsors! How lucky!!

Mummy's parents will be sponsoring your pram..Your granny has been lamenting on how she wants you to have a 3 wheeled pram so the honour of getting you a pram is given to her..Hehehe..

Abah's parents will be sponsoring your cot! Your Abah already decided that it will be a white cot which can be converted into a toddler bed..

Mummy and Abah have already bought a chest of drawers for you..Ohh!! Mummy's Abah bought you a picture frame that would hold pics of you from a newborn till you are a year old! A monthly pic frame..Cool!

Lots more things to buy..Your clothes..Mittens and booties..Diapers..Bottles..Baby carrier (Abah insists that you will have one)...A bathtub..Cot accessories..Bottles steriliser..Other misc essential baby items..

Mummy needs to get some items for herself too! Nursing bras..Breastpads..Maternity pads..Mummy insists to have a electric breastpump..Heh..Breastmilk storage bags..

Wow..The list seems endless..But one thing is for sure, we will only buy essential stuffs..Things that are needed and will definitely be used..I am now training very hard to resist buying stuffs on impulse and without telling my DH..I have not done so and I pray that I would not..Buying Peanut's items should and will be a joint project, not just mine..I want DH to be involved in everything regarding Peanut..

The actual buying of Peanut's items will only commence after June (preferably during the Mid Year Sale..Heh)..

I am starting to clear Peanut's room aka the Nursery..I am happy that we already painted the walls in shades of lavender and lilac..That will be a soothing color for a nursery..And it is a unisex color..Heh..I will just need to move the existing old wardrobe, bed and couch..Oh! And DH's bikes..

At times, I do wonder whether we can afford to get the items for Peanut..And I also really would like to decorate Peanut's nursery..I don't think I have much money to spare after paying monthly loans and bills..But whenever I look at my home, I feel blessed..Peanut may not have a beautifully decorated nursery with lots of toys/books and other things but Peanut will have a place to call home and be safe and comfortable..

DH and I are always thankful for this place we call home..It may be sparse to some..To us, it's haven to get away from the crazy world..And we are very much excited to have Peanut to live in it with us..

Seriously, what more could we ask for?
