Why that weird nick?

I will tell you why..

I JUST EXPERIENCED 2 BLACKOUTS AT MY OWN HOME!!!

BLARDY TOOT!!!!

TO MAKE THINGS WORSE, I AM HOME ALONE NOW!!!!!

DOUBLE BLARDY TOOT!!!!

BLLEEARRGGHH!!

To think, before I started my ironing, I whispered to myself., hoping that there wouldn't be any blackout..

Let me explain how these blackouts occured..

Ever since moving into my new home, I have experienced 5 blackouts..The first one was cos the old circuit breaker was old (heh) and suffered a shock when we moved in and used so much power.. :P

We had changed our circuit breaker since..

The second one was the cause of cheeky me not wiping the electric kettle before putting it back on its stand to heat the water.. :P

The third one was cos of the iron (or so we thought)..

I used to drag my ironing board, iron, water spray, hangers and laundry baskets to the living room to do my ironing..All cos I wanted to watch tv as I iron..Heh..

Ever since I become(still am now!) practically nuts about house cleaning and rearrange my living room, I placed all the ironing stuffs back into one of the rooms..

I discovered that I ironed faster there cos I wasn't watching tv (duh!!) .. :P

One day, I was ironing in that room when there was a black out!! Luckily, DH was around..DH thought it was the electric kettle's fault..But I told him that the electric kettle was not switched on..So our eyes diverted to the iron..

Just now, I was chatting, reading blogs, surfing and ironing (wow! multi-tasking! :P), there was a blackout!!!

Now..That room is quite a distance to the circuit breaker..I practically ran towards the circuit breaker with my home phone, whilst trying to call DH..Then, I realized that my M.i.o was cut off..DUH!! Luckily, I was also holding onto my hp, so I rang up DH..He was worried..I had to go to my dining room and carry a chair and climb onto it and fix the circuit breaker..Before that, I frantically searched for the torchlight.. :S

So, everything came back on again and I made my way back to that room and ironed..Yup, I continued ironing..This time, I ironed very fast, fearful that the blackout may happen again..Having to experience the house in total darkness and being alone, made me have goosebumps and that made me iron even faster..Hahaha!!

I looked suspiciously at my iron and at the wall socket..The wall socket has 2 plugs..One for my fan, one for my iron..I switched my fan to another wall socket at the further end of the wall and placed the iron at the fan's ex socket..

I thought I was being smart and that blackout was due to the faulty ex socket of the iron..

Happily, I continued ironing..

Then..

Yeah..

Blackout..

AGAIN!!!

Again, I did the whole routine of running to the circuit breaker, going to the dining room, getting a chair, and so on..This time, the torchlight was with me..It never left my sight ever since the previous blackout..

So now, I look more suspiciously to that wall socket..ARGH!!!!

DH told me that he would get me a new iron..The previous iron served us well but we need a new one now..Partly cos it may be the cause of the blackouts and not the wall socket..I've dropped it countless times..Heh..It has discolored and the wires are now visible..DH did check its fuse previously, during the third blackout and found nothing wrong with it..*sigh*

After the lights came back on, I hurriedly iron..Yes, I had to!! I was ironing tomorrow's work clothes!! After that, I switched off the iron, took the plug out (my standard procedure)..

So here I am now, blogging away in my living room and watching tv..Yup, the torchlight is still within my sight and reach..Just in case..

I want my Darling Hubby!!!
